Example: Imagine you have been asked to get involved in a local community clean up. You believe that it would be a great opportunity for your group to get involved in doing something positive and for making links with other groups in the area. You need to be able to tap into the interpersonal skills that will make the announcement connect with people in a way that is motivational and that people see the same benefits as you do. If you can’t create an opportunity to do this for real, prepare one anyway, believe me it will be helpful as an exercise.
